On the 15th inst., after long search and intense yearning of filian affection Stephen Arnold Douglas! Found his disconsolate, maternal relative at Clifton Springs, N.Y., and, notwithstanding a severe cold and sore throat, spoke to her an hour and a half on the great service she had done her country, by giving birth to popular sovereignty and a short-legged son. The venerable lady wept tears of joy as she embraced her long lost but newly found Japhet. 'He had a mother.'"
