Extensive notes on front and back end papers concerning America's population in 1922, President Harding's character traits, family history, education, marriage, ill health, political elections and offices held prior to the presidency, presidential election and administration, his cabinet, Harding's proposals for his presidency including immigration, tariffs, and efforts to strengthen the economy, appointments to the Supreme Court, activities to promote civil rights, political struggles, death, the scandals that developed after Harding's death, and information about Harding's personal and political papers. Annotations by Brian Lamb in the margins and underlining of pertinent phrases throughout the book. Examples include: "not the worst," "no deals, no favors," "remained favorable to protective tariffs," and "became ill at Palace Hotel."
