Extensive notes on front and back end papers concerning the author's professional history as an ambassador, experiences working with Ronald Reagan, Gorbachev and his reception in Washington, nuclear arms and human rights issues, Afghanistan, the fall of the Soviet Union, the Geneva Summit, a list containing the names of a Soviet military leader, nuclear physicist and dissident, and a human rights activist, and a list containing the names of the Secretary of State, Deputy Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, National Security Advisors, the Director of the CIA serving during the Reagan administration. In laid notes include a chronological list of events preceding the collapse of the Soviet Union.
